This never would have happened
If it hadn’t been for me
As soon as you gave me a chance
I only wished to flee

If you had said no
Maybe I’d still love you
That always seems to work for him
Maybe that would’ve worked for us too

Each time I think of a way
That the story we’ve created will end
I realize there’s no happy ending
And my emotions twist and bend

I’m torn between the love I have
And the love I always wished for
I don’t understand why I still need him
Maybe I’ll always want more

I can’t say that I know whom to love anymore
